The Close of an Amazing Event

We have come to the end of a beautiful beginning... until next year! Speak Up... Words in Fashion, Dance & Art, to benefit Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention month was a huge hit! Thank you all who came out to support a great cause and have a good time. Thanks to you, the Sava Center is able to decrease women's isolation with their 24-hour confidential hotline, support groups, sexual assault-specific therapy and advocacy programs and RAINN is able to help over 4,000 victims through their on-line hotline.

I am so honored and blessed to stand beside so many of you who want to be the change in our community and our country. I am overcome with emotion to know that we can make a difference and that with out a doubt, there is beauty that comes from ashes. For all of those who have opened up to me with your personal story (and those who have not), you are so strong and I am so proud of you. When feelings of defeat come upon you, look up. You are not alone and I can tell you that both Christy & I are also standing right beside you, along with so many others!
